A UK-based technology organisation in Fareham is seeking a Software Development Engineer to support the development of software used within government, defence and law-enforcement environments. This role focuses on Android-led development, with exposure to PC and cloud applications, within a small and collaborative engineering team.
Eligibility
Due to the nature of the work, only UK-born nationals who are eligible for UK MoD security clearance can be considered, and applications from candidates who do not meet this requirement cannot be progressed.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test and support software products, primarily for Android platforms
- Work closely with customers and internal teams to define requirements
- Collaborate with software, hardware and UI engineers
- Provide technical support and produce clear user documentation
- Support product design, manufacturing and test activities
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering or computer science discipline
- Strong experience across the software development lifecycle
- Commercial experience with C# .NET
- Knowledge of SQL databases, user interfaces and data communications
- Experience working with Windows and Linux operating systems
