We're supporting an innovative engineering business developing advanced high-voltage power systems and are looking for a Senior HV Power Electronics Engineer to join on an initial 6-month contract.

This role will focus on assessing, validating, and resolving HV creepage and clearance challenges, supporting electrical safety compliance, and providing practical engineering solutions across power electronics and HV switching systems.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and provide solutions for HV creepage and clearance issues.
  • Support design verification and validation activities.
  • Review power electronics designs, schematics, layouts, and safety architectures.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and technical investigations.
  • Produce engineering documentation including requirements, test specifications, and verification reports.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure compliance and technical performance.
We're Interested in Engineers With Experience In
  • High-voltage power electronics.
  • Insulation coordination, creepage and clearance analysis.
  • AC-DC, DC-DC converters, power supplies, inverters, or HV distribution systems.
