Key responsibilities of the Product Safety Manager:

  • Lead safety and supportability efforts across multiple products, ensuring compliance with IEC 61508, ISO 26262
  • Manage and develop a small team, working closely with project managers, product owners, and external partners
  • Conduct and oversee key safety analyses, including Reliability Prediction, Failure Mode Analysis (FMEA/FMECA), and Obsolescence Monitoring
  • Create technical documentation and training materials for customers and stakeholders
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements to enhance product safety and reliability

Background and experience:

  • Strong background in functional safety, reliability engineering, or product supportability
  • Experience working with functional safety standards IEC 61508 and ISO 26262
  • Expertise in failure mode analysis, risk assessments, and reliability engineering
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to engage cross-functional teams
