NEW PRODUCT LINE ENGINEER JOB BASED IN BEDFORD. My client offers an exceptional opportunity to build a rewarding and dynamic career in the aviation technology sector. As a Product Line Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the strategic development and management of aviation product lines. This position places you at the forefront of innovation, where you will drive the end-to-end product development process in alignment with the company’s long-term vision and goals. Responsibilities as a Product Line Engineer in Bedford: * Lead as the Project Engineer/Manager during development projects. * Maintain and revise Electrical and Mechanical Drawings. * Update the product Bill of Materials (BOM) and production line assembly. * Review customer technical specifications for compliance. * Oversee Engineering Activity Processes (EAP) for the product line. * Drive continuous product improvement in collaboration with Product Support and Service teams. * Manage the product Technical File and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Additional Responsibilities: * Approve Sales Order Record Lines for engineering compliance. * Investigate Product Demerit Claim (PDC) root causes and propose solutions. * Collaborate closely with the Engineering team to identify and analyze potential product improvements or cost savings. Requirements as a Product Line Engineer in Bedford: * Minimum Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) or Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in a relevant Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Mechanical Engineering field. * Experience in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and the ability to interpret and create basic 2D schematic wiring drawings. * Computer literacy, with skills in Word Processing, Database, and Spreadsheet software (MS Office, etc.). * Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, such as Baan, is a plus. * Good knowledge of product standards related to Electrical products, including requirements for CE Marking.
