We’re currently recruiting for an exciting Manufacturing Quality Engineer job with one of our key clients in Oldham, Greater Manchester — a leading global manufacturer within the semiconductor and electronics industry. This job offers a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation committed to innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement in manufacturing quality.

In this job, you’ll play a crucial role in strengthening internal quality assurance processes, overseeing in-process quality control, and supporting proactive quality management initiatives across European operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and monitor quality control systems within manufacturing.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure process capability and stability.
  • Support audits and compliance with ISO and IATF standards.
  • Act as the link between customer quality feedback and internal process improvements.
  • Coordinate with global wafer fabs, assembly/test sites, and subcontractors to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Drive cross-functional problem-solving and yield improvement initiatives.
Skills and Experience required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (Master’s desirable).
  • Experience in wafer fab or semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Certified VDA 6.3 and IATF 16949 auditor (by VDA QMC).
  • Background as a Supplier Quality Engineer or Manufacturing Quality Engineer preferred.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
