An exciting opportunity has arisen in Middlesex for an experienced Equipment Maintenance Engineer to join a highly skilled Technical Services function supporting complex manufacturing and test environments.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Carry out repairs, improvements, and de-risking activities on manufacturing and test equipment.
- Support engineering programmes addressing obsolescence, unreliability, and process risk.
- Contribute to the upgrade, refurbishment, and replacement of complex equipment including vacuum systems, high-voltage systems, RF systems, scientific furnaces, thin-film coating systems, and control hardware.
- Work closely with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and external contractors to ensure work is delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
Experience and Technical Background
- Strong practical and technical experience in several of the following areas: high-risk systems such as high voltage, high energy, vacuum, plasma, RF, and complex control systems.
- Engineering support within manufacturing, electronics, or advanced technology environments.
- Capital equipment upgrades, lifecycle planning, and commissioning activities.
The Equipment Maintenance Engineer will bring:
- A hands-on approach with sound engineering judgement and attention to detail.
- The ability to analyse complex problems and propose practical, long-term solutions.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- HNC/HND or military engineering qualifications will be considered with substantial relevant experience.
