We are looking for a System Test Engineer based near Hampshire to join a specialist engineering company developing advanced products used globally to support a safer future. We are looking for a driven, detail-oriented professional with hands-on experience in manual testing and application testing to ensure the quality and reliability of our software, embedded systems, and hardware.
As a System Test Engineer, you will:
- Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary design team to manually test new and updated products, including application software, embedded software, and associated hardware.
- Develop and execute structured test procedures and manual test scripts for new and evolving systems.
- Provide detailed feedback and collaborate with design engineers to drive improvements.
- Review and update user guides and technical documentation.
- Become proficient in a range of innovative products and tools.
- Manage your workload effectively to meet agreed timelines and quality standards.
- Contribute to continual improvement of internal quality processes.
About You
Experience:
- 3+ years in a professional testing role, ideally within an engineering company handling embedded systems and hardware.
- Proven experience in manual testing and developing manual test scripts to ensure product quality and reliability.
Technical skills:
- Strong experience in software testing; familiarity with embedded systems is highly advantageous.
- Ability to write concise test procedures, user documentation, and detailed failure reports.
- Experience with issue-tracking tools is helpful.
- Confident with MS Office, especially Word and Excel.
