We are seeking an RF Test Engineer based in Herefordshire with a growing, established business specialising in advanced RF and electronic systems for demanding defence and electronic warfare environments.

Note: Candidates must hold a British passport for this opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out system-level testing and fault finding on electronic and RF equipment.
  • Perform RF testing and troubleshooting, with a strong focus on RF amplifiers, circuits, and subsystems.
  • Diagnose faults at both component and system level using electronic schematics.
  • Use a wide range of electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, network analysers, and signal generators.
  • Accurately document test results, faults, and corrective actions in detailed technical reports.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced engineering environment.

RF Test Engineer requirements:

  • Ability to successfully pass BPSS clearance.
  • Settled status in the UK.
  • Proven experience in electronics fault finding.
  • Strong understanding of electronic schematics and circuit design.
  • Hands-on experience with RF testing and RF-related components (e.g. amplifiers, filters).
  • Confidence testing RF amplifiers and troubleshooting RF circuits.
  • Competent use of electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, signal generators, etc.).
  • Computer literate.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to produce clear, detailed reports.
