The Strategic sourcing specialist will be responsible for managing the strategies to purchase materials, ensuring timely delivery of components, and maximizing efficiencies in the supplier base. They will manage the source, selection, negotiation, and purchase of materials and services and fully liaise with suppliers and all relevant stakeholders, maintain and develop supplier analysis and support appropriate metrics, KPI’s and reporting. The role will involve representing the supply chain function in relevant projects and within the wider business, facilitating all purchasing activities from RFQ’s to placement of orders, expediting and managing workload.

Key Accountabilities:
- Supplier Management – Source and qualify suppliers, evaluate supplier capabilities utilizing appropriate tools and negotiate prices and terms for purchased goods and services.
- Supply Chain Strategy – Develop and implement purchasing strategies to maximize value, quality and minimize costs.
- Collaboration – Work with internal teams including but not restricted to project teams, production and finance, to align all activities with the wider business needs.
- Market analysis – Conduct market analysis and research to identify potential suppliers assessing and optimizing costs, market trends and risks.
- Inventory management - Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to meet production and project needs.
- Reporting – Maintain accurate records of purchases and supplier performance in line with policies and procedures and report on procurement activities to management.
- Project management – Represent procurement in any projects assigned.
