An exciting opportunity has arisen in Middlesex for an experienced Equipment Maintenance Engineer to join a highly skilled Technical Services function supporting complex manufacturing and test environments.

The Equipment Maintenance Engineer will:

  • Carry out repairs, improvements, and de-risking activities on manufacturing and test equipment.
  • Support engineering programmes addressing obsolescence, unreliability, and process risk.
  • Contribute to the upgrade, refurbishment, and replacement of complex equipment including vacuum systems, high-voltage systems, RF systems, scientific furnaces, thin-film coating systems, and control hardware.
  • Work closely with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and external contractors to ensure work is delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
  • Assist with technical specifications, supplier evaluations, and contractor proposals.

The successful Equipment Maintenance Engineer will demonstrate strong practical and technical experience in several of the following areas:

  • High-risk systems such as high voltage, high energy, vacuum, plasma, RF, and complex control systems.
  • Engineering support within manufacturing, electronics, or advanced technology environments.
  • Capital equipment upgrades, lifecycle planning, and commissioning activities.
  • Risk assessments and health and safety compliance.

The Equipment Maintenance Engineer will bring:

  • A hands-on approach with sound engineering judgement and attention to detail.
  • The ability to analyse complex problems and propose practical, long-term solutions.

Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline. HNC/HND or military engineering qualifications will be considered with substantial relevant experience.
