About the Role

This Junior Production Engineer position in Fordingbridge involves providing technical support throughout the manufacturing process, creating and maintaining build documentation, supporting production teams, and contributing to process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain build documentation and test specifications for manufacturing teams in Fordingbridge
  • Manage BoMs, concessions, permits, and product changes via the Change Request Process
  • Produce and update 2D and 3D CAD drawings for manufacturing, subcontracting, and tooling
  • Design and build tooling, jigs, fixtures, and equipment to support production in Fordingbridge
  • Provide rapid technical support to in‑house production and subcontractors in Fordingbridge
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements to manufacturing processes and procedures

About You

  • Knowledge of electronics at component level and ability to read circuit diagrams
  • Experience using 2D or 3D CAD software
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work independently with attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and undertake relevant training
  • Good IT skills, including MS Office
  • A professional and positive attitude
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques (desirable)
  • Experience in electronic manufacturing (desirable)
  • Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems (desirable)
