Junior Software Engineer – Fareham We are working with an innovative technology business specialising in advanced semiconductor solutions and next-generation touch technologies. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join their expanding engineering team. This is a great opportunity for a graduate or early-career engineer to develop their skills in embedded software, firmware and algorithm development, working alongside experienced engineers. The Role - Junior Software Engineer – Fareham * Develop and debug embedded C firmware for microcontrollers. * Support capacitive sensing algorithm development. * Use Python for modelling, simulation and data analysis. * Design, test and optimise algorithms for interpreting user input. * Investigate software and hardware performance issues. * Work alongside software, hardware and applications engineering teams. * Support new feature development based on customer requirements. About You - Junior Software Engineer – Fareham We are looking for someone with 0–1 years of relevant experience, ideally with a degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline. You will ideally have: * Good programming fundamentals, particularly in C. * An interest in embedded systems, electronics and software development. * A logical approach to problem-solving and debugging. * Familiarity with Python, MATLAB or similar languages. * Good communication skills and a willingness to learn. * Some placement or postgraduate engineering experience.
