Octagon Group is working with a consumer electronics company that designs and manufactures market leading real-time feedback technology.
This company is doing extremely well, and due to growth, they are looking for an Embedded Systems Engineer to help drive the development of its next generation sensor platform and improve and upgrade their existing, successful product range.
This is a unique opportunity to work on a highly technical, user-focused product that blends embedded hardware, firmware, and edge computing into a seamless consumer experience.
You’ll be joining a small, focused engineering team building products that combine edge sensor data, AI models, and real-time feedback to transform human performance.
You’ll lead the development of embedded electronics, from prototyping through to mass production.
The day to day of the Embedded Systems Engineer:
* Design, test and refine PCBs and embedded systems for compact, low-power consumer devices
* Develop firmware using C/C++
* Select and integrate components for new product features
* Close working with cross-functional teams to integrate electronics into mechanical and software systems
* Support the manufacturing team on production test systems and firmware workflows
The profile for the Embedded Systems Engineer:
* PCB design and schematic capture (Altium)
* Proven embedded firmware development skills ( C/C++ )
* Experience with production testing, component selection, and scaling prototypes to manufacture
* Rust or Python in embedded or tooling is highly desirable
* Bluetooth communication is also highly desirable
The salary is dependent on experience, up to £50,000.
On top of this, you will have access to the company performance bonus scheme, share scheme, annual equipment budget and some other unique and quite brilliant perks that will be discussed during the pre-screening call with the recruiter.
