Are you an experienced Operations Manager with a strong background in manufacturing and operational leadership? Our client is looking for a driven and commercially aware professional to lead and develop our operations function, ensuring the business consistently delivers quality products safely, efficiently, and on time.
You will ensure operational performance aligns with business objectives relating to quality, cost, delivery, productivity, safety, and customer satisfaction while driving a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee production planning, scheduling, and execution to ensure On Time In Full delivery, quality standards, and commercial targets are achieved.
- Ensure effective allocation and utilisation of resources including labour, materials, equipment, and capacity planning.
- Monitor and manage day to day operational performance, resolving issues, risks, and inefficiencies proactively.
- Lead continuous improvement activity including Lean Manufacturing, 5S, waste reduction, process optimisation, and productivity improvements.
- Ensure full compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SC21, and AS9100 standards.
- Develop and manage operational KPIs, performance reporting, and data driven decision making.
- Control operational budgets and support cost management and financial performance objectives.
Requirements:
- Degree, HNC, HND, NVQ, or equivalent experience in Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, or Business Management.
- Experience within an engineering/manufacturing facility.
