ELECTRONICS ENGINEER – PRODUCTION ENGINEERING
A fantastic opportunity has become available for an Electronics Engineer – Production Engineering to join a leading high-technology organisation developing advanced thermal imaging, night vision and augmented reality systems.
You will join a newly formed NPI team, working closely with R&D, Manufacturing and Quality to transition complex electronic products from prototype through to scalable production.
THE ROLE
You will provide hands-on electronics and production engineering support, with a focus on PCB design, manufacturability, NPI and production test solutions.
- Supporting the transition of products from prototype into volume manufacture
- Working with R&D to improve PCB designs for manufacturability and testability
- Supporting PCB assembly, integration and electronic fault finding
- Developing and improving automated production test equipment and fixtures
- Supporting NPI builds and resolving production issues
- Carrying out root cause analysis and implementing improvements
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
- Proven experience using Altium for PCB design and layout
- Strong experience with PCB assembly, integration and electronics manufacturing
- Good understanding of DFM, DFA and DFT principles
- Experience supporting products through NPI and into production
- Strong board and system-level fault-finding skills
- Understanding of ISO9001 or similar quality systems
Experience with automated test equipment, microcontrollers, LabVIEW, C/C++ or military-standard product development would be advantageous.
