ELECTRONICS ENGINEER – PRODUCTION ENGINEERING


A fantastic opportunity has become available for an Electronics Engineer – Production Engineering to join a leading high-technology organisation developing advanced thermal imaging, night vision and augmented reality systems.


You will join a newly formed NPI team, working closely with R&D, Manufacturing and Quality to transition complex electronic products from prototype through to scalable production.


THE ROLE


You will provide hands-on electronics and production engineering support, with a focus on PCB design, manufacturability, NPI and production test solutions.



  • Supporting the transition of products from prototype into volume manufacture

  • Working with R&D to improve PCB designs for manufacturability and testability

  • Supporting PCB assembly, integration and electronic fault finding

  • Developing and improving automated production test equipment and fixtures

  • Supporting NPI builds and resolving production issues

  • Carrying out root cause analysis and implementing improvements


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR



  • Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline

  • Proven experience using Altium for PCB design and layout

  • Strong experience with PCB assembly, integration and electronics manufacturing

  • Good understanding of DFM, DFA and DFT principles

  • Experience supporting products through NPI and into production

  • Strong board and system-level fault-finding skills

  • Understanding of ISO9001 or similar quality systems


Experience with automated test equipment, microcontrollers, LabVIEW, C/C++ or military-standard product development would be advantageous.
