Our client based in Andover, Hampshire specialise in the design and manufacture of highly complex PCBA's for a range of industries like automotive, industrial and medical. You’ll be involved in the design, development, and manufacture of components, tooling, fixtures, and test equipment, contributing to both prototype and production-scale manufacturing. This role offers the chance to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and customers, taking ideas from concept through to full-scale production.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop components and assemblies for semiconductor packaging applications.
- Conduct early-stage feasibility studies and develop advanced concepts using emerging technologies.
- Translate conceptual designs into manufacturable products, applying DFM/DFA principles.
- Maintain and optimise engineering processes in line with company and international quality standards.
- Provide technical support and mentorship within the department, promoting a “right first time” approach.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical or production engineering (preferably within semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing).
- HND or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Engineering.
- Proficient in CAD design and 2D drafting (SolidWorks preferred).
