We're growing and looking for a Junior Recruitment Consultant to join Octagon Group, supporting clients across specialist technology and engineering markets in the UK, Europe and the U.S.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for someone who wants to build a long-term career in recruitment. You don't need previous recruitment experience, we'll give you the training, tools and support needed to develop.
You’ll initially learn how to identify and approach specialist candidates, understand technical vacancies and manage the recruitment process. As your knowledge and confidence grow, you’ll progress towards managing client relationships, developing new business and taking ownership of your own 360 recruitment desk.
Our office is based in Ampthill, Bedfordshire, within commuting distance of Flitwick, Bedford, Luton, Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas.
What you'll be doing
- Searching for specialist engineering and technology professionals
- Speaking with candidates to understand their experience and career goals
- Writing and advertising vacancies
- Shortlisting and presenting suitable candidates to clients
- Supporting interview processes and offer negotiations
- Building your knowledge of specialist technical markets
- Developing client relationships and progressing towards your own recruitment desk

Previous recruitment or sales experience could be helpful, but it's not essential. We care much more about your attitude, work ethic and potential.
