My client is a dynamic Software Company located in Redditch, Worcestershire. They develop a market leading ERP software product. Their clients are in Logistics, Manufacturing, Warehouse Management, Automotive, Food and Supply Chain and Distribution. They’ve been established for 5 winning years, although their product has been in existence for over 10 years.
Due to continued expansion they are seeking a Software Project Manager to assist in the development and delivery of new and existing software solutions. Following training in the application, you will work on all aspects of the project, from project scope and gap analysis, through to project implementation and handover to our support resources. You will be working closely with internal development and project functions in addition to the customers, at both project and end user levels.
Experience required:
- Upwards of 3 years of experience in implementing application software to customers
- Good understanding of application software in a 3PL and/or manufacturing environment
Skills required:
- Experience in a 3PL and/or a manufacturing environment
- Upwards of 3/5 years’ experience of ERP systems
- Ability to problem solve whilst in the field
- A broad, extended knowledge of key business processes affecting customer implementations
- Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
The Project Manager role will involve:
- Working within the existing Project Management team
- Helping develop estimates and scopes for new projects
- Working with potential and established customers with implementing and developing new systems and functionality
- Working to configure the application in new projects based on the customer’s requirements and needs
- Reporting project status and attending project reviews both internally and at the customer
- Ability to align project deliverables and customer expectations
- Driving the project to a successful launch
- Supporting the project launch until a documented handover to the support team
- Training the support team in the project’s requirements and the customers use of the application
- Assisting in the development of the application
- Continuous testing of new and current functionality
- Driving and encouraging the application’s functions with existing customers
There are genuine opportunities for growth within this role for the right candidate. This role is paying circa £40k to £50K depending on experience + benefits and certified and ongoing training.
