This innovative start-up is not hiring an employee. They are looking for a co-founder. As an Associate Founder, you'll own the development and evolution of the platform featured on their website. The MVP is live and in the hands of early design partners: 3D facility twins, emission plume overlays, a regulations engine, reporting, and an AI chatbot assistant. The technical foundation is real. Now they need you to make it enterprise-grade.
What you'll own:
- Platform & Scale: Own Postgres + RLS architecture, observability, CI/CD, and SOC 2 readiness. Design field/offline capture (PWA, mobile) and sensor ingestion pipelines for OGI cameras, fixed sensors, and drone data.
- Science & Compliance: Productionise emission quantification and dispersion modelling (Gaussian / CFD-assisted). Build the regulatory engine in line with EU Methane Regulation, OGMP 2.0 into auditable, submission-ready reports.
- Team & Roadmap: Own the technical roadmap and make the first engineering hires. You'll be a player-coach: still shipping code while multiplying through architecture decisions and who you bring in.
You probably have:
- 8+ years in production SaaS, 3+ as tech lead, principal engineer
- Shipped 3D in the browser (Autodesk Forge/APS, Three.js, Cesium, or similar)
- Strong TypeScript / React / Postgres; comfortable with serverless and edge runtimes
- Geospatial experience: PostGIS, Mapbox/Cesium, coordinate transforms
- Taken a product through an enterprise security review
Ready to Build Something That Matters: If you're a senior engineer who wants ownership, influence, and the opportunity to scale a platform with real-world impact, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today and help shape the future of climate-tech.
Bonus: Background in energy, environmental compliance, methane monitoring, CFD, or industrial IoT. Real production AI work beyond chat: RAG pipelines, evals, tool-calling, guardrails.
What They offer: Founding equity + competitive salary (adjust to your stage). A technically defensible wedge in a market that's being mandated into existence by regulators. And a mission where the impact is measurable in parts per billion.
