About The Role

  • Cleaning and sanitising all preparation and storage areas, kitchen walls, stoves, sinks, ovens, grills, and related equipment.
  • Washing dishes, cutting boards, utensils and cooking equipment to keep cookware and cutlery clean.
  • Receiving, unpacking deliveries and checking against orders, flagging discrepancies to site manager.
  • Organising food and supply storage areas.
  • Removing rubbish and emptying bins, waste and recycling.
  • Assisting with food preparation when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and sanitising all preparation and storage areas, kitchen walls, stoves, sinks, ovens, and grills.
  • Washing dirty dishes, cutting boards, utensils, and cooking equipment and ensuring all cookware, utensils, and cutlery are clean and ready for service.
  • Receiving, unpacking deliveries and checking the delivery against what has been ordered, highlighting discrepancies to the site manager.
  • Ensuring that the food and supply storage areas are organised.
  • Removing rubbish and emptying bins, waste and recycling in the kitchen.
  • Assisting with food preparation when needed.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Commercial kitchen experience is highly valued but not essential.
  • Basic Catering and Hospitality certificate such as Food Handling or equivalent desired (but not essential).
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Can stand for extended periods.
  • Must have the Right to Work in the UK.
  • City & Guilds certification, BTEC, or NVQ at a basic level required.
  • Completing a Level 2 food hygiene course desirable.
  • Excellent customer service skills essential.
