About the Role

Days of Working: Working 08:00 – 17:00 with an unpaid lunch break. Occasional overtime available including site OOH rate of 1.5x pay. OCS are recruiting for a Facilities Assistant, looking after one of our key client sites. This is an exciting opportunity for a customer‑focused individual to deliver a key role, as the first point of contact with all building users. You will be responsible for supporting and overseeing effective delivery of Cleaning Services, Tech Services, Security, Helpdesk, Job Management, and other service lines/ad‑hoc areas as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day‑to‑day service delivery across the FM, ensuring that all tasks are completed within the required timescales.
  • Support the Facilities Manager to ensure all tasks are completed within the company processes and procedures.
  • Supervise and coordinate work of in‑house teams.
  • Complete low‑level PPMs, such as water temperature checks, emergency lighting checks, fire alarm testing etc.
  • Complete regular stock‑takes of stationary & hospitality and place orders as required.
  • Organisation of the site logbooks, reports and PPM documentation.
  • Complete basic reactive maintenance and handyperson jobs as received via our Helpdesk.
  • Have an understanding of contracts and exhibit exceptional organisational skills.

Qualifications

  • Must have Right to Work in the UK.
  • Vetting required BPSS at start in role.
  • Will need to pass SC vetting during the probation period.
  • SIA qualification desirable but not essential as training will be given.
  • IOSH qualification desirable but not essential as training will be given.
  • Great communication style and ability to demonstrate customer focus.
  • Have relevant experience to effectively deliver the role.
