Shift Pattern: This role is working night shifts 6:30pm – 6:30am on a 2‑week rolling rota. Week 1 is Friday through to Tuesday and Week 2 is Wednesday & Thursday.

To ensure the welfare of all persons visiting or working at the Alton Towers Resort. Prevent loss to the company and its customers from unlawful activity, fire, or wastage. Provide a professional response to Security and Medical incidents following ATR departmental, Merlin Entertainments Ltd, and, if applicable, West Midlands Ambulance Service protocols and procedures. Support the Security and Medical department in providing an incident response in line with legal requirements and the company’s Health, Safety & Security guidelines.

Key Objectives
  • Provide a professional response to Security & Medical incidents as required.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and security of all persons visiting or working on the Resort.
  • Prevent loss or damage to property and assets from unlawful activity.
  • Ensure the Merlin Values are followed and consistently demonstrated.
  • Maintain physical and mental ability to complete the primary tasks of a Security Medical Nights Officer.
  • Be an exemplary role model and inspirational team player who takes great pride in their Role.
Main Responsibilities
  • Support the safe and secure operation of the Resort according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures, legislation, and guidelines.
  • Respond to Security and Medical incidents when required.
  • Patrol all areas of the Resort during the night.
  • Be comfortable in a control room environment and be proficient at operating CCTV systems.
  • Assist the Security & Medical Management in their tasks.
  • Complete personnel and vehicle searches when required.
  • Correctly process departmental reports and paperwork.
  • Be responsible for Cash in Transit around the Resort when required.
  • Provide day cover on occasion when required.
  • Ability to record information in statement form to a high standard.
  • Attend court if required.
  • Respond to incidents including antisocial behaviour, trespassing, and other criminal activity.
  • Report any visitors, contractors, or employees that appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Carry out administrative and cleaning duties as required.
  • Ensure all contractors comply with all relevant legislation, codes of practice, and company procedures.
  • Support rescue and evacuation activities when necessary.
  • Support hotel night team with operations as required.
  • Ensure any maintenance issues are logged on Infor for Technical services to action.
Qualifications
  • SIA (Door Supervisor) qualification is essential.
  • SIA (CCTV) qualification is essential.
  • Maintain minimum FREC 3 with the willingness to achieve CFR status.
  • Maintain Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Ability to work night shifts.
