About The Role
Days of working: Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:00, but may vary in line with client/site needs. As a Site Manager, you must ensure the safe operation, profitability and efficiency of all services provided to the school. You will lead a team of onsite employees and contractors, manage operational teams through recruitment, training and performance management, and ensure effective service delivery within agreed budgets. Monitor and report on the quality and financial performance of the services, and deliver continuous service and cost improvements through innovative systems, processes, procedures and products.
Main Duties
- Manage 15 staff members – previous managerial experience is a must.
- Act as the first point of contact for OCS service delivery to clients.
- Provide reports for client representatives and OCS management on all aspects of service delivery.
- Develop account management and contract operations.
- Provide regular progress reports and service updates to supply‑chain partners.
- Demonstrate a responsive “can‑do” attitude to clients and end users.
Experience
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS will be completed for the successful candidate.
- Proven background in delivering Maintenance, Cleaning, Security and portering services, ideally within an education environment.
- Good administration and computer skills.
- Strong communication skills; client interaction is high.
- IOSH and legionella responsible persons certification is an advantage; training can be provided.
- Ability to interpret contract documentation.
- Demonstrated track record of excellent client relationship management and customer‑facing/partnering skills.
- Business development, retention, and championing new initiatives are key to success in this role.
