About the Role

Days of Working: Mon – Fri 09:00 – 14:30 shift. Provide exceptional customer service while ensuring safety and security in the Courts and Tribunal System. As a Security Officer you will be part of a team that values your dedication and professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service, welcoming and guiding court users.
  • Monitor premises and visitors via CCTV and x‑ray machines, hand‑held metal detectors and bag searches on arrival.
  • Patrol and secure access to buildings and satellite buildings, keeping in contact with the control room using hand‑held radios.
  • Respond to panic alarm buttons in judges' rooms, courts and offices.
  • Respond to any security issues within the complex and record and report details of those incidents.

Qualifications

  • Must have Right to Work in the UK.
  • Must obtain an enhanced DBS and BS7858 security clearance for the successful candidate.
  • Have an SIA Licence and relevant security‑related experience.
  • Strong people and customer service skills.
  • Good diligence and high standard of work.
  • Effective communication skills.

Benefits

Attendance Allowance of £1 per hour can be earned on contracted hours, subject to meeting certain attendance‑related criteria.
