About The Role

Location: LN5 7QA

Days of Working: 0900–1700 Monday – Friday

You will be working a minimum of 40 hours per week, typically Monday – Friday, covering different shifts across a number of courts within a dedicated area around the home‑base of this advertised location. There is no weekend or night work, but overtime on a Saturday, Sunday, and Bank holidays may be offered at 1.5× for Saturdays and 2× for Sundays, and 1.5× for weekday overtime outside of normal court operating times.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service, welcoming and guiding court users.
  • Monitor premises and visitors via CCTV and X‑ray machines, and conduct security checks using hand‑held metal detectors and bag searches.
  • Patrol and secure access to buildings and satellite buildings, staying in contact with the control room using hand‑held radios.
  • Respond to panic alarm buttons in judges' rooms, courts and offices.
  • Respond to any security issues within the complex and record and report details of those incidents.

Qualifications

  • Must have Right to Work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS and BS7858 security clearance will be completed for the successful candidate.
  • SIA Licence and relevant security related experience.
  • May require a UK driving licence (location dependent).
  • Strong people and customer service skills.
  • Good diligence and high standard of work.
  • Effective communication skills.
