About The Role:
Working Pattern: Shifts 3 days between Monday-Sunday. Monday to Saturday shifts hours between 07:00-22:00. Sundays 10:00-19:00.
Overall Purpose of the role: Interacting with customers on a daily basis, promptly responding to all inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner. Providing a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors, ensuring all areas of the malls are clean, free from hazards.
Health & Safety Purpose: To take a direct interest in the health and safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your work activities.
Main Duties & Responsibilities Of The Role:
- To foremost provide excellent customer service including meet and greet whilst assisting shoppers within the Shopping centre.
- To keep clean all areas of the Shopping Centre/Arndale Tower free from hazards; along with completing any detail clean that may be required.
- Ensuring all hazards are removed from the back of house areas following the correct procedures and disposal of waste in the correct waste stream.
- Ensure the safety of yourself, colleagues and shoppers at all times following the training provided and ensuring that any further training requirements are met.
- Completing all tasks following the IMPACT cleaning training provided ensuring the safe method of working practice is adopted at all times.
- Ensure the correct Personal Protective Equipment is correctly worn at all times. In addition, all company uniform is worn at all times to portray the correct company image.
- Responsible for maintaining all working environments in a safe and effective manner. Removing any hazards as applicable with reporting any defects to the helpdesk.
- Ensure work is carried out to the highest standards of health and safety with regards to themselves and that of others by following the company procedures at all times.
- Ensure compliance with the waste streams on site; using the correct compactor/baler to dispose of the waste.
- Ensure compliance with the service road 5mph speed limit when driving the FLT or P250. Must be willing to attend training course to drive the P250 Tow tractor with Trailer and FLT.
- To complete any other reasonable request by your supervisor or line manager as requested.
- All pre-use inspections of equipment to be completed ensuring the inspection is recorded on the inspection log sheets; baler/compactor/P250/FLT this list is not exhaustive.
- To complete cleaning duties in the back of house department ensuring all corridors are clean and clear. All bin rooms to be cleaned as required upon each inspection of a bin room any hazards to be cleaned efficiently and effectively.
- Undertake any necessary training as required or instructed by line manager.

- To be a service stream specialist, familiar with best practice and how this translates to operational ways of working.
- To be a robust people supervisor, to inspire teams to perform and have a consistent approach to all.
- To be passionate about good customer service and translate this to the service stream specific tasks.
- To support the Team Leader/Manager with specialist guidance as required.
Experience:
- Demonstrable experience within the retail industry, with a track record for innovation and success.
- Significant experience within your chosen service stream.
- Proven experience with supervision of operational teams and developing.
- Experienced in a fast paced work environment.
- Experienced in customer focussed environment.
