Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, but will most likely work a few weekends, as per business needs. The Landscape Team Leader will oversee a team of arborists and landscapers, driving improvements in guest perception through high-quality landscaping and planting schemes. This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing the park's visual appeal, ensuring safety and compliance, and delivering exceptional standards in a high-pressure, high-footfall environment. The position also requires expertise in rope work and reactive tree maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of arborists and landscapers to deliver outstanding results.
- Plan and allocate daily tasks, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to schedules.
- Develop and implement planting schemes that enhance the park's aesthetics and guest experience.
- Monitor and maintain landscaping standards across all areas of the resort.
- Promote environmentally sustainable practices in landscaping.
- Oversee reactive tree maintenance, including rope access work and emergency interventions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and tree preservation requirements.
- Create and implement planned preventative maintenance tasks, to maintain standards across the resort.
- Manage landscaping operations in a high-footfall environment, minimizing disruption to guests.
- Coordinate with other departments to support events and seasonal displays.
- Meet with the client to discuss their landscaping needs and preferences, providing advice and suggestions.
- Promote a strong safety culture within the team, ensuring all work is carried out in line with regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and maintain accurate records of work completed.
Skills & Experience Essential
- Proven experience managing landscaping and arborist teams in high-pressure environments.
- Strong knowledge of planting schemes, horticulture, and tree maintenance practices.
- Competence in rope work and reactive tree maintenance.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
