Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To work within a team to maintain the soft landscape to a high standard in a theme park environment.
  • Carry out garden maintenance including mowing, strimming, weeding, pruning and hedge cutting in guest facing areas.
  • To carry out planting including seasonal bedding and lawn care to the highest standards.
  • To work with and maintain a large range of landscaping machinery including tractors and implements as well as ride on mowers.
  • Working in a safe manner at all times, complying with work based risk assessments and COSHH regulations that supports a safety-first culture within the team.
  • Maintaining ride area safety, ensuring ride area clearances are maintained and identifying and reporting tree works when required.

Key Hiring Criteria:

  • Applicant must have the right to work in the UK.
  • A level 2 NVQ in amenity horticulture (or equivalent).
  • Proven 5 years of commercial gardening or horticulture experience.
  • NPTC PA1 and PA6 qualification in application of pesticides.
  • Any NPTC qualifications in use of chainsaw beneficial but not essential.
  • This is a hands-on physical role and be able to carry out all gardening tasks as well as work in all weathers.
