At OCS, our cleaners play an important part in providing safe, clean environments in which our customers can thrive in their workspaces. As Supervisor, you will ensure that cleaning staff perform their duties efficiently, maintain high cleanliness standards, and contribute to a safe and hygienic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and assist with the cleaning of all areas within the cleaning specification, including additional ad‑hoc duties as required;
- Manage a small team, looking after rotas, holidays, absence management within budget, and performance management to achieve a consistently high standard of cleaning;
- Deliver coaching/training, including health & safety, to all cleaning operatives and ensure all records are updated correctly;
- Conduct cleaning audits on a weekly basis and raise any concerns for support;
- Hold weekly team meetings and briefing sessions to ensure clear and consistent communication;
- Manage the ordering of stock and consumables, update the stock management system, and distribute supplies to cleaning stores;
- Engage with customers/clients to address enquiries and provide assistance;
- Plan high‑level and deep cleaning works as required;
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Right to work in the UK;
- Previous supervisor experience preferably in a cleaning environment;
- Good IT skills in using systems and MS Office;
- Desire to lead a team and oversee tasks;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Ability to work to deadlines, prioritise and be flexible with working hours and days;
- Good attention to detail.
