About The Role
Days of Working: Monday to Friday – 9am – 5.30pm
Reporting to the Head of Procurement Transformation, the Business Intelligence Analyst role has primary responsibility for analysing data to help the procurement team make informed decisions about supply chain activities. This includes spend analysis, spend categorisation and taxonomy, pricing and scoring analysis, data gathering, reporting and Power BI dashboards. Working closely with the UK&I Category Management Teams, Finance and other key stakeholders, the Business Intelligence Analyst will turn data into actionable insights and be expected to deliver data and information management solutions in line with transformation initiatives, drive maximum value and continuous improvement across the business.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and automation of data and analytics within UK&I Procurement Teams.
- Manage the processing for the set of reports to measure the commercial performance of the Procurement function in terms of spend, price changes, cost savings and price increase mitigation performance.
- Develop interrogation methods of finance, and other business systems to track business spend and performance against cost savings, using Power BI to manage and present management information for the Procurement function.
- Streamline processes through the adoption of automation, integrations and other solutions.
- Ensure the maintenance of up-to-date and accurate vendor information across all systems that hold vendor data.
- Transform, report and present data using Power Bi visualization tools.
- Conduct trend analysis and provide data intelligence to support Category Management Strategies.
- Compile reports and presentations to senior management.
- Track price escalations and spending trends in collaboration with the Category Management team.
- Drive transformative solutions leading to procurement excellence.
- Leverage the potential of Power BI to create weighted scorecards to monitor supplier performance metrics.
- Develop solutions for managing and monitoring supplier innovations.
- Review the savings numbers submitted by Procurement, audit to ensure accuracy and compliance with actual OCS volume/value throughput, and align with reported savings.
- Provide seamless engagement with Finance to ensure we uphold our commitment to pay our suppliers on time.
- Support initiatives including rationalisation to increase spend compliance and concentration with preferred suppliers, delivering improved efficiencies in line with integration activity.
- Support Procurement Transformation and implement change management where appropriate.
- Form strong, productive relationships with both the business and the supply base ensuring the UK and Ireland business is the customer of choice leading to business growth and profitability.
- Comply with the CIPS Code of Conduct by enhancing and protecting the standard of the profession, maintaining the highest standard of integrity in all business relationships, promoting the eradication of unethical business relationships, enhancing the proficiency and stature of the profession, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
- Comply with ethical practices when sourcing goods or services for the UK and Ireland business.
About You
- Previous experience as a data or business intelligence analyst.
- Strong analytical skills.
