About The Role
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (some overtime and weekend work may be required)
Role Overview and Purpose: OCS is hiring an experienced, reliable handyperson to join our team. Reporting to our on-site management team, the successful applicant will be responsible for small-scale exterior repair, maintenance, and certain landscaping duties across a shopping park, which we provide facilities support. The ideal candidate will have physical stamina, and previous trade or handyperson experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform basic repairs (e.g., relay loose paving slabs, minor building repairs, etc.)
- Complete general maintenance work
- Clean walkways, pavement, and other exterior surfaces (suitable, mechanical equipment is provided)
- Undertake minor decoration works
- Follow workplace health and safety rules, and be willing to undertake all identified training
- Load and unload tools and equipment from work vehicles
- Manage job details, review daily tasks, and follow up with management team
Handyperson skills and qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a handyperson or similar
- Valid driverβs license, clean driving record, and reliable own transportation (if required)
- Competent use of powered hand tools and power tools
- Able to understand basic CAD and schematic plans
- Able to sit, stand, kneel, lift, and climb ladders
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
- Can reliably work alone and as part of a team
- Able to communicate well
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions and work to agreed timescales
- Friendly with good interpersonal skills
