The Security Operations Directors will be responsible for health, safety, wellbeing and profitability of the area of responsibility. The successful candidate will hold and maintain positive executive customer relationships, drive business growth, and strongly collaborate with national colleagues, central functions and the senior leadership team to deliver a positive, proactive and progressive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire, and develop Regional Directors and operational teams
  • Own full regional P&L performance, ensuring delivery against budgets and targets
  • Build and maintain strong executive client relationships
  • Oversee contract performance, service delivery, and continuous improvement
  • Manage new business mobilisations and support bid presentations
  • Act as an escalation point for operational, client, and people matters
  • Support commercial growth, including upselling and cross‑selling opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and company standards
  • Provide out‑of‑hours senior support where required
  • Deputise for the Business Director when needed

Essential Requirements

  • Valid SIA Licence
  • Health & Safety qualification (IOSH/NEBOSH desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong IT skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Experience

  • Extensive experience operating multiple ranging scale contracts on a regional or preferably national level.
  • Strong understanding of Guarding and Systems solutioning and proportionate scope to help advise customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience of managing and directing large and disparate teams.
  • Extensive experience of operating multiple ranging scale contracts on a regional level.
  • Experience within Manned Guarding Security operations across multiple locations.
  • Evidence of consistently motivating and managing teams.
  • Proven client relationship and operational management of key accounts essential.
  • Strong understanding and evidence of implementing best practice in health and safety and risk assessments.

Personal Attributes

  • Strong understanding of key security legislative requirements including but not exclusive to licensing, vetting and BS7858.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Strong management skills with ability to form collaborative relationships and communicate both 1‑1 and large scale.
  • Self‑motivated and enthusiastic with good time management and leadership skills.
  • A creative thinker with ability to develop a solution as well as analyse problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities (oral & written).
  • Ability to demonstrate strong personal integrity.
  • Excellent IT skills (Excel, Outlook/Calendar, Word etc.) is essential.
  • Strong leadership style with focus on supporting and developing colleagues.
