About the Role
As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist Electrician – the Electrical Apprentice’s central task is to assist the Electrician. This may involve doing basic tasks such as handling the tools, and it may also involve working independently from the Electrician at times on electrical tasks that require less skill or experience, such as containment and cabling works. As the Electrical Apprentice progresses, he or she will be given more independence in completing tasks.
- Complete Installations – The Electrician Apprentice will assist the Electrician by performing less complex installation tasks independently. Installation works would comprise of LV Distribution, containment, lighting and emergency lighting, small power, mechanical supplies, testing and commissioning, following manuals, schematics, diagrams, blueprints and specifications.
