About The Role
A General Operative (GO) within the PRM service is responsible for assisting passengers with reduced mobility and disabilities as they journey through Dublin Airport. The GO may be the first point of contact a PRM has on behalf of OCS; therefore, it is critical that the GO serves as the face, voice and character of the PRM experience, making a good first impression that aligns with overall service quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet passengers in a pleasant and professional manner
- Assess passengers' mobility requirements
- Use equipment to assist PRMs through the airport (wheelchair, aisle chair, sling, etc.)
- Assist PRMs who do not require mobility equipment (e.g., blind)
- Assist with lifting, transferring and repositioning of PRMs on board aircraft
- Provide assistance with passenger luggage as necessary
- Ensure all relevant information regarding the PRM is passed to the Team Leader/Control Department
- Treat all OCS equipment and communication devices with respect; report defects to management
- Respond promptly to allocated tasks as assigned by the operational team
- Update the PDA promptly to show an accurate timestamp of the PRM transfer through the airport
- Assist ambulance crews in the movement of PRMs carried on stretchers
- Check relevant flight information (boarding cards, FIDS, etc.) and report irregularities to the Control Department
- Liaise and work professionally with all airport and airline personnel
- Promote OCS as a professional service provider by maintaining a reliable, safe and efficient service
- Collect and return wheelchairs to nearest storage point
- Maintain a competent level of knowledge and skill by attending training courses as set out by the company
- Work within own capabilities
- Assist with any other duties as assigned by the operational team
