Main Purpose

To support their line manager and the other members of the team in the delivery of the FM contracts.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Replacing light tubes/emergency light batteries
  • Minor slab and paving repairs.
  • Replacing digital locks, door closers, and door furniture.
  • Conducting Fire Door visual inspections.
  • Carry out fire alarm weekly activation and assist with site evacuations
  • Maintaining the set of FES on site compliance books, including completing the daily/weekly/monthly checklists/documents
  • Using a PDA in order to close down assigned work orders within all SLA’s
  • Planning of minor works (access and time span)
  • Minor building repairs, including painting as required.
  • Winter maintenance, supplementary gritting and clearance of snow as per gritting plan
  • Replacement of site stock/ordering of materials
  • Installing shelves and noticeboards as required.
  • Water hygiene run offs and temperature checks.
  • Unblocking Basins and Toilets, providing before and after photographs to evidence the reason for blockage.
  • Changing taps, carry out minor plumbing repairs
  • Control and monitor subcontractors including inductions
  • Site housekeeping
  • Dealing with floods and spillages.
  • Assisting with offloading and moving materials as required.
  • Carrying out Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) allocated by supervisor in a timely fashion and in line with our daily working procedures.
  • The above is not an exhaustive list of duties & responsibilities and you will be expected to carry out on behalf of the company any reasonable request within your skills base and experience

Skills & Knowledge

  • Good education level to GCSE grade C or similar.
  • Demonstrable Maintenance experience ideally within a hospital environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Self-motivated.
