Fixed 4 on 3 off shift (To be discussed at Interview) - 7pm to 5am

About The Role

At OCS, our cleaners play an important part in providing safe, clean environments in which our customers can thrive in their workspaces.

As Supervisor, you will supervise the hygiene team and ensure all cleaning and disinfection activities are completed safely, effectively and to the required food safety and hygiene standards.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Allocate operatives to areas and cleaning tasks.
  • Supervise and support Hygiene Operatives throughout the shift.
  • Ensure cleaning procedures, CICs and hygiene schedules are followed.
  • Monitor correct chemical use, dilution and application.
  • Check cleaning standards throughout the shift and address issues immediately.
  • Complete visual inspections and required ATP swabbing.
  • Ensure equipment and areas are cleaned, disinfected and ready for production.
  • Coordinate and monitor deep-cleaning activities.
  • Ensure required hygiene documentation is completed correctly.
  • Report and elevate equipment damage, maintenance issues, mould, drainage problems and other hygiene concerns.
  • Ensure food safety, COSHH, PPE and Health & Safety requirements are followed.
  • Support training and competency development of Hygiene Operatives.
  • Communicate effectively with the Shift Manager, Production and Engineering.
  • Provide an accurate handover at the end of the shift.
  • Escalate any cleaning, staffing or operational issue that could affect food safety or production.

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

  • Lead by example and maintain a strong shop-floor presence.
  • Maintain high hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Organise and prioritise the team's workload effectively.
  • Identify problems early and take appropriate action.
  • Support and develop Hygiene Operatives.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Take ownership of standards within allocated areas.

The Hygiene Supervisor is responsible for ensuring their team completes all allocated hygiene activities safely, correctly and to the required standard before areas are released for production.
