Are you a technically skilled professional with a passion for sales? OCS is looking for a Technical Sales Representative to develop and manage a dedicated region in the United Kingdom. In this role, you will combine solid technical expertise with structured business development to design tailored conveyor system solutions, build and maintain long-term customer relationships, and drive new business opportunities across a range of industries. You will play a key role in supporting OCS’s continued growth in a new and strategically important market.
About OCS: OCS is a growing company that provides smart internal conveyor systems to a variety of industries, primarily within the automotive and aerospace sectors, and more recently for the expanding bicycle industry in Europe. Our solutions are mainly based on our in-house developed overhead conveyors, with a strong focus on high quality and advanced automation. Key Responsibilities:
- Combine technical knowledge with sales activities (approximately 60–70% technical/30–40% sales)
- Drive sales of OCS conveyor systems to industrial customers within a defined region in the United Kingdom
- Proactively identify, develop, and manage new and existing customer relationships
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in a developing UK market
- Conduct customer visits, prepare quotations, and lead price and contract negotiations
- Verify and optimize technical system solutions in collaboration with internal stakeholders and the customer
- Prepare calculations, quotations, layouts, and simple design concepts
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales processes and working methods
Profile and Qualifications:
You are a curious, responsible, and technically oriented professional with a strong business mindset. You enjoy solving complex problems and take satisfaction in seeing the concrete results of your work. You communicate clearly and professionally, build trust with both customers and colleagues, and are comfortable representing the company in external meetings. You are self-motivated, structured, and analytical, while also appreciating teamwork and contributing to shared objectives.
Requirements:
- Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related field
- At least 5 years of B2B sales experience in project, system, or solution sales
- Experience in one or more of these industries: Automotive, Aerospace, Defence, Micro-mobility (e-bikes, electric cargo vehicles), or Surface Treatment
- Proficient with CAD, AutoCAD or similar, Office suite, and CRM reporting
- Meritorious: Experience with Six Sigma or process improvement
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the sales team, project, production, and support departments
- Coordinate technical requirements and quotations between sales and project teams
- Provide technical expertise during customer meetings and project discussions
