This is a fixed‑term contract, starting from Mid‑March 2026 until 6th November 2026. You will be given a minimum of 5 hours per week; however, as per your availability, we can offer part‑time, full‑time and/or weekend work. You will be part of the team that plays a pivotal role in ensuring guests’ safety and enjoyment for millions of guests on Thorpe Park. We promote a proactive, diverse culture that delivers great customer service to all guests while ensuring the safety of our guests, staff, and assets at the resort. The day‑to‑day duties include patrolling the resort, interacting with guests, checking bags and personal searches, back‑of‑house patrols, incident and crowd management, asset transfers, and working with an amazing team. The role is ideal for aspiring police officers or those looking for a career in law enforcement. The security team at Thorpe Park also works closely with local authorities to carry out various operations while keeping everyone’s safety at the forefront. This fast‑paced, active role may require working outside on the island.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide a high level of customer service to guests in line with company values, ensuring that targets are met and professionalism is maintained at all times.
- Practice conflict management across the resort, resolving issues while ensuring the safety of all guests, staff, and protection of resort assets.
- Carry out bag checks, personal searches, patrols, and maintain vigilance at all times; guest interaction and world‑class customer service are essential.
- Interact with guests and resolve any issues to the best of your ability.
- Patrol the resort, remaining vigilant for any threats to safety.
We are looking for
- Excellent customer‑service skills and the ability to communicate effectively and positively with all customers and colleagues.
- An active, up‑to‑date SIA licence (Door Supervisor level).
- High motivation, both self‑directed and within a team.
- Proficiency in the English language.
- Team player with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to lead and uphold required standards during conflict or violence, delivering positive outcomes.
- Interpersonal and relationship‑building skills for teamwork and networking with resort staff.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate with all types of guests.
