Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and consent work in your geographical area, ensuring it is planned and completed according to your LCM’s programme.
- Ensure staff or subcontractors are equipped and motivated to deliver operations to excellent standards of safety, compliance and efficiency.
- Support and promote the proactive nature of our work and demonstrate firm leadership when needed.
- Retain responsibility for your work through to completion, liaising closely with your LCM around forecasted work volumes, costs, and challenges.
- Ensure that work specifications and method statements are fully completed and that the selected team is trained and compliant for the tasks.
- Ensure operational procedures, safe working methods and best environmental practices are followed according to customer requirements and Company compliance procedures.
- Make sure all documentation required to carry out work in a compliant manner is available to the work team.
- Provide regular tracking updates to your LCM.
- Ensure compliance with current legislation and reinforce the importance of safety performance and internal company and customer standards.
Key Hiring Criteria
- Good standard of basic education.
- Reasonable computer literacy/administrative skills (using app‑based data collection and form filling, writing of emails).
- Experienced UA5 qualified or equivalent level training (includes Lantra Transmission Surveyor).
- Any relevant industry qualification (preferred).
- Professional Tree Inspector (PTI) (a mandatory training requirement if not already held).
- Credible track record in Utility Arboriculture.
- Computer literate, experience in Excel & Finance systems essential.
- Diligent, numerate with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise and organise own work whilst working on a variety of tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
