About The Role
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 0630‑1500. Some weekends may be required, depending on business needs. The role forms part of our technical team on site and will work alongside our well‑established fabric position. Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Doors, door closers, painting and decorating, patch plastering, carpentry, tiling, carpet tiles, cutting floor boxes, gutter cleaning, basic water treatment including de‑scaling, roofing and manual handling tasks.
- Basic “first response” janitor duties such as unblocking toilets and mopping up spillages when required.
- Work with the wider M&E team to ensure all PPM scheduled tasks are carried out to programme and notify your line manager immediately if any PPM deadlines are missed.
- Liaise with the helpdesk to ensure tasks raised are completed within a timely fashion.
- Be available to attend planned events out of normal hours when required.
- Ensure all documentation is maintained to a fully auditable standard required by the client and third‑party accreditation standards.
- Be proactive in the maintenance of the site and equipment, establishing sound maintenance practices and providing solutions to all reactive issues.
- Support your operational lead with contractor compliance.
- Keep all site‑specific COSHH registers up to date and manage needed stock, materials and equipment.
- Ensure tasks carried out safely, with risk assessments and method statements in place.
- Meet all regulatory and statutory requirements and promptly escalates to line manager where needed.
- Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and maintain regular contact with key stakeholders.
Requirements
Experience and qualifications relevant to Building Fabric Maintenance, level 2 minimum (IPAF, PASMA, Working at heights, Painting & decorating, joinery). Able to demonstrate an understanding of high‑quality service delivery and its impact on this role.
