About The Role

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 07:30 to 15:30 and two Saturdays per month 06:00 - 12:00

The main responsibilities of the General Maintenance Operative will be the general upkeep and maintenance of the site. The role will be varied and will include many different tasks which are stated below.

Responsibilities

  • General internal / external site painting
  • Floor patching repairs – concrete – self leveler
  • Install / remove partitions
  • General carpentry repairs – drill – boards
  • Install floor tiles to shop and offices as required
  • Install / remove ceiling tiles as required
  • Toilet repairs – leaks, seats, small blockages – sealing – boards – small pipe works
  • Unblocking drains – as above
  • Collecting materials from suppliers
  • Flexible working is required potentially at short notice
  • Weekend work is paid at over time rates
  • Maintain accurate records of completed tasks and report any issues to the management team
  • Assist with minor refurbishments, installations, and improvement projects
  • Carry out regular inspections and routine preventative maintenance
  • Undertaking reactive Maintenance tasks to high quality standards including basic plumbing, joinery, and carpentry, with painting and decorating where necessary
  • Respond to reactive maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner

Key Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK
  • The ideal candidate will have previous general maintenance or multi-trader experience and skills
  • Ability to work on your own as well as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate well with colleagues / customers & suppliers
  • Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to work outside normal working hours
