About The Role This role is being offered on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity absence. Working Days: Business needs mean that applicants need to be flexible in working hours. This could include occasionally starting work as early as 3am and finishing as late as 10pm, completing 8 hours of work. Typically, shifts will be between 9am and 5pm, but there is flexibility in these hours. OCS is seeking an experienced Area Contract Cleaning Manager, preferably with a healthcare industry background. As an Area Manager, you will ensure smooth operations across multiple sites, implement operational procedures, provide strategic and tactical support, and ensure compliance with ISO standards. You will oversee staff to ensure services meet quality standards and budget constraints. Building and maintaining good relationships with clients and decision-makers is key. This role offers variety and the opportunity to make a significant impact. Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Developing and implementing operational procedures for the company. Ensuring ISO compliance across managed sites. Managing cleaning staff and subcontractors to meet service level agreements and budget goals. Assisting in proposal development, including client liaison and design input for ongoing operations. Setting and overseeing budgets for each site within your portfolio. Managing projects from inception to completion of new initiatives. The Ideal Candidate Should Meet The Following Criteria Must have the right to work in the UK. An enhanced DBS check will be completed for the successful candidate. Experience managing outsourced commercial contract cleaning, ideally in a healthcare environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Power BI, and people management software. IOSH certification (desired). IWFM membership (desired). Experience managing multiple sites (desired).
