We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established groundworks and civils contractor who are delivering a large-scale data centre project in Portugal. Due to continued project demands, they are seeking an experienced SHEQ Advisor to join the site team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile international project with an attractive package and strong long-term prospects.
The Role
As SHEQ Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting and promoting best-in-class Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality standards on site. Working closely with site management, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with legislation, company procedures, and client expectations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing and monitoring SHEQ policies and procedures on site
- Conducting site inspections, audits and risk assessments
- Supporting site teams with toolbox talks and safety briefings
- Investigating incidents and near misses and producing reports
- Liaising with management, subcontractors and client representatives
Requirements
- Minimum NEBOSH qualification (Safety Degree preferred)
- At least 2 yearsβ construction safety experience (groundworks/civils experience highly advantageous)
- Experience working on large infrastructure or data centre projects is desirable
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- EU passport holder (essential)
- Willingness to work in Portugal on a project-based role
