Job Description

I’m currently working with a highly regarded RC Frame & Groundworks contractor turning over circa £80m per annum, delivering technically complex packages on major schemes typically valued up to £15m.\\nWith a strong pipeline of secured and negotiated work, the business is now looking to appoint a Planner to join their Pre-Construction team, supporting tenders and early-stage project planning across the business.\\nThis is a key role offering exposure to large-scale projects and close collaboration with senior operational and commercial stakeholders.\\nThe Role As part of the Pre-Construction team, you will:\\n\\n * Produce tender and pre-construction programmes for RC frame and groundworks packages\\n\\n * Work closely with estimators, bid teams, commercial and operational staff to develop robust, buildable programmes\\n\\n * Review drawings, specifications and methodologies to ensure programmes are realistic and compliant\\n\\n * Assist with phasing, sequencing, logistics planning and risk allowances\\n\\n * Support handover from pre-construction into live delivery teams\\n\\n * Contribute to programme reviews, value engineering and planning strategy discussions\\n\\nThis role offers a clear pathway into senior planning positions as the business continues to grow.\\nThe Ideal Candidate You will:\\n\\n * Have at least 2 years’ experience as a Planner within RC Frames and/or Groundworks\\n\\n * Be comfortable producing programmes for tenders and pre-construction stages\\n\\n * Have experience using planning software such as Asta Powerproject and/or Primavera P6\\n\\n * Possess a strong understanding of construction sequencing, temporary works and methodology\\n\\n * Be proactive, organised and confident working with multiple stakeholders\\n\\nWhy Apply?\\n\\n * Join a market-leading specialist contractor with a strong reputation and secured workload\\n\\n * Work on high-value, technically challenging schemes up to £15m\\n\\n * Be part of a well-established pre-construction function with real influence on project success\\n\\n * Competitive salary and package, with clear long-term progression\\n\\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a Planner with RC frame and groundworks experience looking to step into a stable, growing contractor and play a key role in shaping projects from an early stage
