The Role

An opportunity has arisen for a Temporary Works Engineer to join their engineering team based in Central London. The role will involve the design, coordination and implementation of temporary works solutions across a range of major construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and check temporary works in accordance with relevant standards and procedures
  • Develop solutions for formwork, falsework and propping systems
  • Support and coordinate temporary works for demolition and enabling works
  • Liaise with project teams, site management and external consultants
  • Prepare calculations, drawings and technical documentation
  • Ensure compliance with Temporary Works procedures and CDM requirements
  • Provide technical support during planning and construction phases

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Experience in temporary works design and/or coordination
  • Strong knowledge of falsework and formwork systems
  • Experience in demolition or enabling works is highly desirable
  • Open to Structural Engineers with relevant temporary works experience
  • Working towards or already Chartered (ICE or IStructE) is advantageous
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within project teams
