The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Temporary Works Engineer to join their engineering team based in Central London. The role will involve the design, coordination and implementation of temporary works solutions across a range of major construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and check temporary works in accordance with relevant standards and procedures
- Develop solutions for formwork, falsework and propping systems
- Support and coordinate temporary works for demolition and enabling works
- Liaise with project teams, site management and external consultants
- Prepare calculations, drawings and technical documentation
- Ensure compliance with Temporary Works procedures and CDM requirements
- Provide technical support during planning and construction phases
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
- Experience in temporary works design and/or coordination
- Strong knowledge of falsework and formwork systems
- Experience in demolition or enabling works is highly desirable
- Open to Structural Engineers with relevant temporary works experience
- Working towards or already Chartered (ICE or IStructE) is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within project teams
