A leading multi-disciplinary rail contractor is looking to recruit an Estimator to join its growing pre-construction team.

The business delivers a wide range of rail, civil engineering, infrastructure, power, M&E and signalling projects across the UK and has built an outstanding reputation for delivering complex projects safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

The Role

Working within the pre-construction team, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for a variety of rail and civil engineering projects.

You'll review tender documentation, obtain subcontractor and supplier quotations, identify project risks and opportunities, and work closely with operational and commercial teams to produce competitive bids.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an Estimator role within construction, civil engineering or rail is desirable.
  • Junior Estimators or Assistant Estimators looking to take the next step in their career are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications.
