We are currently recruiting on behalf of a busy RC Frame/Groundworks subcontractor that is delivering a major residential development in Cambridge. They are looking for an experienced Groundworks Foreman to join their site team and take responsibility for the day-to-day management of groundworks operations.
The Role
As Groundworks Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising site activities, coordinating labour and plant, and ensuring works are delivered efficiently, safely and in line with programme requirements. Working closely with the Site Manager and Project Team, you will play a key role in maintaining productivity and quality throughout the groundworks phase of the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily groundworks operations on site
- Manage and coordinate direct labour and subcontractors
- Ensure works are delivered safely and in accordance with company procedures
- Monitor progress against programme and report on site activities
- Coordinate plant, materials and workforce requirements
- Conduct daily briefings and toolbox talks
- Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the project
- Liaise effectively with Site Managers, Engineers and the wider project team
- Promote a positive health and safety culture on site
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Groundworks Foreman within the RC Frame and Groundworks sector
- Strong understanding of residential groundworks packages
- Experience managing gangs, subcontractors and site operations
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- SSSTS or SMSTS preferred
- CSCS Card essential
- First Aid qualification desirable
- Strong commitment to health, safety and quality standards
