This client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Planner to join the project team on a high-profile Cut & Carve development in the heart of Central London. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on planning experience on a complex refurbishment scheme, working alongside an experienced Senior Planner and project management team.
The project involves the partial demolition, structural alterations, and modernisation of an existing building, requiring careful sequencing, risk management, and innovative planning solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Senior Planner in developing, updating, and maintaining the project programme.
- Gather and input progress data from site teams and subcontractors.
- Support the preparation of short-term programmes and lookahead schedules.
- Assist with planning reports, progress updates, and critical path analysis.
- Monitor site activities to ensure alignment with the programme.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to identify risks and opportunities.
- Help ensure compliance with planning processes, company standards, and client requirements.
What you Need
- Relevant construction or engineering degree, or equivalent experience.
- Open to you having some planning experience or a Site Engineer keen on a career change.
