The Security Operations Manager is responsible for leading security operations across 2 central London locations, ensuring a safe, secure and compliant environment.
Reporting to the Senior Security Manager, you’ll act as the key site contact for security and manage service delivery across a 24/7 operation.
Rotating Shift Pattern
Work 4 consecutive day shifts (07:00-19:00), followed by 4 days off, then 4 consecutive night shifts (19:00-07:00), followed by 4 days off.
Key Responsibilities
- Security Operations
- Lead security operations in line with OCS, client, statutory and contractual requirements.
- Act as the main site contact for security incidents and escalations.
- Ensure contracted staffing levels are maintained with trained and licensed personnel.
- Manage security control rooms and associated systems.
- Complete site risk assessments and implement appropriate controls.
- Carry out regular security inspections, including out-of-hours visits.
- Coordinate responses to incidents and changing security risks.
- Work with OCS colleagues to manage Security, Health & Safety and Fire Prevention requirements.
- Maintain relationships with external agencies including Police and Fire & Rescue Services.
- People Management
- Lead and manage Security Supervisors, Security Officers and Front of House teams.
- Manage absence cover, standby resources, shift changes and event security.
- Deliver team briefings and operational updates.
- Identify training needs and ensure licences and competencies remain current.
- Manage employee relations matters in line with OCS procedures.
- Compliance & Administration
- Maintain accurate Assignment Instructions, SOPs, Security Manuals and risk assessments.
- Maintain records of incidents, staffing and additional security cover.
- Provide information for management reports and operational planning.
- Monitor additional security expenditure.
- Ensure correct use of IT and security systems in line with OCS and client policies.
- Review incidents and performance to identify service improvements.
- Recruitment & Training
- Monitor staffing requirements and support recruitment where required.
- Ensure employees receive appropriate site and operational training.
- Maintain sufficient trained personnel for contingency and standby cover.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Essential
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor and CCTV licences.
- DS licence
- NSV clearance to SC level
- 3yrs+ resident in the UK
- BS7858 and BPSS clearance to be obtained prior to start
- SC clearance obtained during probation period
- At least 2 years' management experience in corporate security, HM Forces, Police or a similar environment.
- Experience managing large security teams.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Experience producing reports and chairing operational briefings.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and security systems.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety, security compliance and risk management.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during incidents.
- Flexible approach to operational requirements.
- Ability to meet all relevant vetting and licensing requirements.
Desirable
- Experience in a large corporate or multi-site environment.
- Experience managing budgets, subcontractors or security resources.
- Knowledge of business continuity and emergency planning.

This role supports a 24/7 security operation and may require flexibility for incidents, events, out-of-hours visits and emergency situations.
