The predicted salary is between 40500 - 49500 £ per year.
Working Pattern: Monday - Friday 7:45 - 16:30 (9 Day Fortnight; every 2nd Friday off)
You will work closely with pre-construction, commercial, design, and operational teams, contributing to tenders from early enquiry stage through to final submission.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tenders for construction projects
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Attend tender review meetings and contribute to bid strategy
- Identify and assess commercial and contractual risks
- Maintain accurate records of estimate assumptions and exclusions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with supply chain partners
- Assist with handover of successful tenders to delivery teams
Essential Hiring Criteria:
- Previous experience as an Estimator within the construction industry
- Strong understanding of construction methods, costs, and procurement
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Commercially astute with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tender deadlines
Desirable
- Experience working in highly regulated environments
- Background in main contracting or M&E estimating
- Relevant construction or commercial qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree)
